Session 1

During the first lesson being back after the holidays We had an online session.

During the session we explored more the buildings that we had to do our research on during the holidays we had to go through Slides and complete tasks on our own. I enjoyed choir a lot the process of investigating what kind of faces my morals should have as one of the tasks was to draw people. I experimented Andrew a lot of my friends in my style my. I ended up experimenting more on my own and spending a lot of time on this task made me practice my drawing skills which I think is very important for me. We had to explore moves and what kind of intention the model has so it will match the atmosphere of the research. I tried different media for the stars and although I find illustration quite difficult I think that it was a good practice. The next task was experimenting with a pillowcase and exploring the fabric. I like working with fabric and I have previously worked with fabric but this task took me a lot of time to do it right because of the scale. 

During the second week the first class was dedicated to planning in figuring out our sketchbook as well as we had to discover the way we will present our Final pages at the end of the month. Restaurant near allowed more creative freedom and we can use files sketchbooks or clip the pages together which I find very useful because I like to keep my pages separated. During the class we started exploring digital collages we started using shapes and forms from the research that we had to complete during the holidays. I was not yet happy with my research and I have a lot of things to complete before I could do a lot from this task so I had to complete the big part of this assignment at my own time. During the class we also had to use our drawing skills which was very useful after the long break. I like using mixed media but sometimes I find it challenging to get into the process but as soon as I see one shape I start to explore more. We use digital collages on the task as well as we used our previous class outcomes. I did not find a challenging building a garment from the shapes and forms that I have had in my research but I did not select a building that had a lot of details that would interest me which was a mistake. 

During the third class we had to think about the layout in the working process because the deadline is very soon in it is stressful because I am liking inclining as well as my idea is not clear enough. We were working with the previous outcomes from the classes before when we had to make our selection of shapes and forms that we enjoy. I like selecting the shapes and turning them into more 3-D work. A lot of time during the class was dedicated to selecting the right shapes. By this class we already had to work on the stand which was not my first experience with working understand and I really waited for the class where I will get the opportunity to do so.  We experimented with the paper on the stand which was unusual and it is quite different to any kind of fabric. it was a new experience for me quite some time to get it right. I tried to work with the shapes I have selected and although the manipulation of the fabric was enjoyable I was not quite sure what the building and I started getting nervous if I made the right choice. 

During the fourth close we were working on the logical process of our research on how our prices will add up. We were discussing on the lineups which I feel quite stressed about because I’m not happy with the building that I chose so I will have to complete another researcher now in order to continue with the task. During the class we had to start working with the colour and exploring colour. We discussed colour percentages technique which I find fascinating and I started using a lot of percentage thinking when it  comes to colour. For further colour selection I will be using my new project which is messy now. 

I had to rush off and choose the shapes and forms that I will like in order to think about the colours but I had to do it at the same time. During the class I could further develop my ideas because we had to focus also on sketching and doodling ideas. Knowing the class I created a selection of garments which is a fresh start for me. We also had to start thinking about the fabric choices, which is quite stressful for me now. 

During this class we already had to summarise our work and plan for the submission which is second of March. I go quiet well with my research pages and I am catching up on the work that I had to redo because of my project choice. I will make sure the next time I will look more thoroughly into choosing a topic for a big research. During the class we focused on illustration student our ideas that we got from the experimentation we did last week. We had to look at extensive development of Kermode show our process as well as creating garments. Have a good night create six garments during the class so I had to do a majority of the work on my own time. I have been practising my illustration skills and I see my progress. I have already chosen the fabrics that I want to use so it makes it easier to illustrate because I am aware of how will each fabric react to the manipulation. 

Class 6 

Our class started with the briefing. During the class we had to think about making our collection more commercial and working with our lineup to design more garments. Having a new project while I’m trying to finish my research and the things that I have missed out on because I was sick was quite difficult I did my best to develop good ideas and show my impact on the brand as well as how it impacts my style. We had to design different garments and we were focusing on producing garments related to the pathways and we focus on. We had to design Shoes, Bag, Jewellery, Accessories, Sportswear, Contour garment and 3 additional garments. I found this extremely difficult because I had to switch my focus. 

Trench coat design 

During this class we had to look back at our design and try to design a Trench call it was quite difficult because we had to work has we did not yet developed the research process. I tried to indicate the shapes and forms as well as the colour, but I was not happy with the outcome of the work I have produced in class. I think this is due to the fact that there was a long break and my head had to get back into to study regime. I approach does does Gloucester look like I’ve done multiple variations of the outcomes and I was pleased with my work. 

Skeleton drawing class 

This class was extremely useful and interesting burgers from live and draw away from observations is one of the key aspects of improving your drawing skills. I have already experience control in person or human being but it was my first time attempting to draw a skeleton from an observation. I enjoyed the task the task, but mostly I struggled because of the fast paste. It takes a 2nd to realise that the time is limited and I need to move forward first and after completing couple of sketches already got back into the habit of sketching fast and moving forward. We experimented with different materials. We used white paper and pencil to illustrate first then we moved to chalk and markers.

We also illustrated with white chalk and white pen on black surfers which is one of the satisfying aspects that I am quite good at.
